Widows of Joy aims at understanding that “Grief never ends, but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a weakness nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love.”
It is the Widows of Joy’s mission to offer community and support for widows, provide a place to meet others who have lost their husband and to be with others who understand their loss, provide support from feeling isolated and alone, and an opportunity to meet new friends and have fellowship. Widows of Joy is a widow’s group dedicated to assisting them rebuild their lives with the hope of Christ and then passing hope onto others.
We gather the 1st Saturday morning of every month, beginning with Mass at 8:30am, followed by fellowship, continental breakfast, a reflection, discussion, and fun to follow in the Holy Trinity Church Social Hall! We would love for all recent and long-time widows to come and enjoy fellowship together!
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything-all she had to live on.” - Mark 12: 43-44
Invite a widowed friend to join our next gathering!
