CCW RECOGNITION SUNDAY IS OCTOBER 8
St. Pius X CCW does a LOT more than bake sales!
St. Pius X Council of Catholic Women (CCW) recognizes the important work done by the women of our parish. God has given us Mary, the Mother of Jesus, to be our guide and counselor, to help us in this life, that we may be wise, courageous, and loving leaders of the Church.
Sure, you may have seen the CCW members host bake sales and provide funeral lunches, but do you really know what the CCW does? The St. Pius X CCW makes many contributions to the parish! Did you know that CCW pays for the altar bread, wine and candles that are used at every Mass? CCW supports our homebound parishioners and seminarians with Masses and holiday gifts; coordinates one of the monthly birthday celebrations for GlenFields residents; purchases rosaries for first communion students; along with supporting various educational programs and the ”Formed” subscription that all parishioners may utilize.
Over the past year, CCW has once again begun providing funeral lunches for our parish families, and hosting ”Donut Sundays” quarterly. And next spring CCW will also be hosting the Diocesan CCW Convention here at St. Pius X!
Outside of this parish, CCW makes monetary donations to MCCL, McLeod Food Shelf, Birthright, San Lucas Mission, Totus Tuus program, Catholic Relief Services, the Madonna Plan, the India Well Water Project, and so much more!
We welcome all women of St. Pius X to prayerfully consider helping us continue to provide these beautiful and much needed services. Please join us at our next meeting, Nov 16, 7 pm in the St. George Room, to see how you can help. Thank you!
“May our labors of love on earth enhance the reign of God.”
